Establish risk category matrix for food products based on brand-defining, volume, and food safety
Develop and maintain specifications for food and non-food products
Ensures company products in accordance with corporate and regulatory regulations
Provide technical expertise to the Brand for product specification development
Provide technical direction to Training, Operations Services to ensure products  sent to restaurants are wholesome and meet the highest safety standards
Promotes and advances quality awareness throughout the company
Develop and implement supplier funded product monitoring program to include physical, chemical and microbial evaluations
Establish a nutritional product evaluation program to meet the needs of the Brand
Respond and track all QA Hotline issues and follow-up to ensure resolution for all parties
Evaluate viability of Service Check QA Crisis Hotline and provide proper direction
Execute product recalls and roll-up results to VP, QA/Commercialization
Establish a product cutting protocol
Provide internal direction and guidance on health/food-safety related trends and regulatory issues.
Create power point presentations and present to various levels of management
Develops and maintains good relationships with all franchise partners, company operations personnel, product suppliers, and distributors Create clear expectations, goals and accountabilities for Manager, QA and Quality Assurance Specialist. Set a personal development plan for each person.  Provide quarterly feedback against the planned accountabilities

Supplier Quality Engineer: Plans and directs activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of supplier quality standards for manufacturing processes, materials, and products. Develops and initiates supplier standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation relative to Jered's quality system. Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality data. Assures that supplier products are effective and free from defects or operational problems or errors and meet applicable organizational and contractual requirements. Possesses creativity and understanding of the product and the goals of the company. Reviews technical publications, articles, and abstracts to stay abreast of technical developments in industry.
 
Spares Quality Engineer: Plans and directs activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of spares quality standards for manufacturing processes, materials, and products. Assures that spares products are effective and free from defects or operational problems or errors and meet applicable organizational and contractual requirements.
